Miss Mia

Mia had her first sessions of therapy yesterday. The first was just Ramon's evaluation of her. What an amazing man! We have never met anyone more passionate about their work than him. His energy is contagious. His is so positive about everything. He says he sees a lot of potential in Mia. He says we are just working with low tone - not a variety of other problems so it it not as complicated. Thank God that something with Mia is not complicated:) The first "real" session- she cried the whole time- and I mean CRIED. Tears, snot, screaming etc. Nothing was hurting her or too strenuous- she just did not want to do it. But she still responded to the excercises so we were excited. But this morning she did not cry once. In fact, she smiled most of the time. I am so glad I don't have to deal with 45 minutes of crying twice daily. She did really well. Some exercises she was slow to respond to, others the response came right away. It requires no cooperation from her- he is trying to illicit reflexes from her brain that will just happen with repetition. Some quicker than others. It is so exciting to watch. I can see why this is addicting. I will keep adding videos... off to another session.
