Therapy, Therapy, Therapy

As you know, Mia has every type of therapy possible - Physical, occupational, speech and play therapy... sounds fun huh? So basically 4-5 home visits a week... Although she is making some progress with this therapy, it is very SLOW progress. So we have decided to try a different type of therapy called CME (Cuevas Medek Exercise) that was invented by Ramon Cuevas. It is a special type of therapy that triggers areas in the brain to initiate reflexes required for mobility. Basically helps kids with movement disorders to walk. The catch is, the therapist lives in Chile. Yes, as in South America... Of course, the one type of therapy that may work for Mia has to be a 10 hour plane ride away. So, we are in the process of planning the trip now. We will go for the month of November. I will update this regularly with her progress until then, and then daily while we are in Chile. Yay!

Mia is not only a happy little girl, but adorable, as well. We know it feels as if progress is coming slowly; but to us, who haven't seen her the last few months, we are thrilled to see how far Mia has come. Mia, Beth, Jeff, and wonderful support team --keep up the great work! We look forward to hearing about every step.
Love,
Jody and Sid
